VOLUNTEERS NEEDED

We need the following volunteer opportunities filled for our Annual Peeps & Pups 2010, Doggie Easter Egg Hunt to be held at Greensprings Park located at 2500 East 5th Street in Greenville, NC, Saturday, March 27th:
1. Group of volunteers (4-5) to take photos of animals with the Easter Bunny, as well as activities, animals and patrons attending our event. All you need is a digital camera and access to email us the photos taken.
2. Group of volunteers to gather gallon jugs to pre-filled with water to bring for the dogs to have refreshments as there is no water outlet on the property. We suspect that we need about 30 jugs of water.
3. Group of volunteers to help hide Easter Eggs and monitor the hunt activities.

Easter is a special time for us all and nonetheless the animals, they deserve their blessings too. We are pleased to announce our 2nd Annual Peeps & Pups, doggie Easter Egg Hunt to be held Saturday, March 27th at Green Springs Park. Last year bringing Greenville its first ever-doggie Easter Egg Hunt was a tremendous success, with over 150 dogs and happy patrons. It was exciting and we were amazed to have all the support—it was a smash hit!
We would like to give you the opportunity to support this event and join us this year. As the event is growing by leaps and bounds, you will be a part of something very special. We have sponsorship levels to fit all budgets; every dollar helps us continue to help them. We would like to encourage all sponsorship levels to participate and truly can’t wait to see you all there.

$50- Sponsor-a-Pet for Easter- allows for one spay or neuter of a homeless pet.
All sponsorships are welcome to participate the day of the event as vendors, please bring your own table. We look forward to seeing you there.
Due to popular demand, the event will hold two doggie hunts for treats and prizes and Blessing of the Animals Ceremony. Please see schedule of events is below.

Monet is the sweetest kitty, she was rescued by a local veterinarian office completely vetted and is ready to find her way into your heart. She has a beautiful rare dilute tortishell coat and is so stunning. DOB: 2/19/07
Thank you for considering a homeless animal in our programs, Marley Fund and Marley's Cat Tales adoption divisions across the state of NC. We are an all-volunteer based organization eager to help you find your new best friends. The quickest way to adopt is to fill out our online application at http://www.marleyfund.com/adopt_application.aspx. If you would like more information about a feline in our program, please email adopt@marleyfund.com. We encourage you to visit our felines at Petsmart Greenville every Friday 4-7, Saturday 11-3 and Sunday 1-5. All cats and kittens in our program have all been tested for FeLV/FIV, are up to date on all of their vaccinations, treated with flea preventative, socialized in foster care and are spayed or neutered prior to going to their new homes. The adoption fee is $100.

New Menu to Celebrate the New Year! Let's start the year off healthy and hearty!
G'day Mates! Marley Fund has joined forces with Outback Steakhouse Greenville for a monthly delivery and take-a-way luncheons to benefit animals with special needs and children suffering from Muscular Dystrophy. We are thrilled to announce our new delivery menu for 2010 and the Marley Fund animals thank you for all of your patronage and support! Marley Fund volunteers look forward to serving you for this bright new year!
Tuesday, January 19th: Chicken Caesar Salad, crisp romaine lettuce with freshly made croutons with Chicken breast (5 oz.) served with a cup of Baked Potatoe Soup smothered with cheddar cheese, chives and bacon and Aussie bread..
Tuesday, February 23rd: Outback Filet Griller served over rice with Caesar Salad and Aussie bread.
Tuesday, March 23rd: Sliced and slow-roasted Pork Tenderloin (5oz.) drizzled with a sweet tangy glaze served with rice and a Blue Cheese Pecan Chopped Salad.
Order Info: Volunteers will be delivering orders of 5 or more Aussie plates! Each plate is $10. For those who would like to eat lunch at a certain time we would like to encourage the Take-away option. Deliveries will be be in two sets from 11am-12pm and 12-1pm. This means that if you sign up for either time slot your food will arrive during that hour. Orders must be placed by the Thursday prior to each Tuesday luncheon. Muscular Dystrophy: Friedreich’s Ataxia is a rare genetic life-shorting disorder that affects about 1 in 50,000 people in the US, usually children between the ages of 5 and 15. There is currently no cure or even treatment for the disease.

Adoption Info.: All Marley Fund cats are tested for Feline Leukemia Virus and FIV, dewormed, treated for fleas, spayed/neutered and are up-to-date on vaccinations. All cats are spayed and neutered prior to adoption, have had their fecal exam, are litter box trained, and have been socialized around other animals including dogs and cats. To adopt cats or kittens, please go to our homepage and click onine adoption application. Adoption On Site Visits: Cats and kittens are also available for adoption every Friday from 4pm - 7pm, Saturday 11am-4pm and Sunday 1pm-5pm at Greenville Petsmart. Special needs felines can be viewed on www.MarleyFund.com from our homepage, just look for our adoptable pets link. Adoption fee is $100.
